Blessed

I'd received four text messages wishing me a happy Mother's Day before 9am today.  Not one was from my husband or children (not yet).  People think of me every year on this day that is so special...  I think people remember me because they know that I'm missing my mother.  More accurately, I'm missing the mother she has not yet been able to be...  I have a loving brother and wonderful friends, extended family, and in-laws.  I am so thankful for them!

I am blessed.

I am blessed beyond measure by a Father who is a father to the fatherless (and a mother to the motherless).

When I was still very wounded and broken, this scripture breathed life into me like none other.  I am His.

And He gave me this.

Little people to love and enjoy every day of my life.  And an awesome husband!!

Like I said...  I am so blessed.

"Father to the fatherless, defender of widows — this is God, whose dwelling is holy.   God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy."  Psalm 68:5-6

God has freed me and given me joy beyond all measure and expectation.  He has given me a most amazing family in people I hadn't dared dream could exist for a girl like me.  He is working miracles in healing relationships I thought could never be healed.  He made me a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, a granddaughter, a friend. I am abundantly blessed this Mother's Day...and always.

Dearest Tonya,

I so enjoy reading your entries. I do believe you are truly blessed. God has a way of caring for us. We just have to be willing to accept his care and joyously, you do.

Happy Mother's Day. Janelle
