I {heart} my family

A little about Me

The one girl: I am a wife and stay-at-home mother to two boys. I work part time, teaching Writing and Public Speaking at a homeschool enrichment center; however, I don't actually homeschool my own two children. I adore my job, and also love spending time mentoring teen and college-age girls, serving 3rd-5th graders in Sunday school, and leading support groups for women recovering from childhood sexual abuse. I love second (and 200th) chances. I believe in miracles. I never watch movie previews, but always find myself skimming the last few pages of a book while still in the first few chapters. I'm a distance runner and triathlete whose goal is always simply to finish with a smile on my face. I love chocolate and salads. I would much rather know a person's heart than their opinion or craft ideas. I'm head over heels about my kids, and am married to my best friend. And I love the Lord and try to commit each day to serving Him - of course, I mess that up often.
